CSR’s Stephanie Everett Leads Class at Emory Law School
ATLANTA, Ga., Sept 6, 2017

CSR’s client manager Stephanie Everett is sculpting minds at Emory Law School with her Economics of Legal Practice class this semester. This practice-oriented course introduces students to the typical structure of law firms, how they profit, and how they market themselves. Through case studies and hands-on exercises, students will come to understand variables of utilization and realization, the use of standard and alternative billing practices, the role of staff leverage, and how their contribution as junior attorneys can positively impact the firm. In addition, the class will discuss the economic forces impacting law firms today, how firms are responding, and how firms are branding themselves to beat the competition.

The class is for second and third-year law students, but the principles are impactful for long-time practitioners. In lieu of our clients being able to take the class, contact us for the “cliff notes” and how they apply to your business.

Contente Consulting leading project to expand Westside area
ATLANTA, Ga., Mar 10, 2017
CSR client Contente Consulting is involved in an exciting new project expanding Westside. According to an Atlanta Business Chronicle article, the expansion takes into account the delicate balance between investing in declining neighborhoods and negatively impacting current residents through gentrification. To quote District 3 councilman Ivory Lee Young, “One of the biggest challenges we face in these neighborhoods is achieving economic growth with as little negative impact to existing residents.” Contente Consulting’s role is to lead the entire project. This CSR client specializes in civic engagement, strategic consulting, community planning, and urban design. We are excited to see the fruits of Contente Consulting’s labor in upcoming months.

Alex Muñoz Quoted in Georgia Tech Alumni Magazine
ATLANTA, Ga., Feb 15, 2017
Alex Muñoz was quoted in the Winter 2016 issue of Georgia Tech Alumni Magazine. As chairman of the board at Lifecycle Building Center (LBC), Alex is passionate about the non-profit’s mission and potential. He was featured in the explanation of LBC’s “triple bottom line”:

Muñoz says he was drawn to Lifecycle because of its “triple bottom line”—people, planet and profits. In other words, providing discounted materials to help people improve their homes at a lower cost; helping the planet by keeping those items out of landfills; and funding the operation through the sale of items that would otherwise be considered waste.
“The triple-bottom-line approach is so attractive because it cuts across political, demographic and economic lines,” Muñoz says. “How could you say no to it?”

As a graduate of the Georgia Tech management program and owner of CSR, it’s clear that Alex’s passion for business strategy drives his involvement with LBC. Read the full article here and explore the whole issue here.
