Client Manager (Sales-Focused)

CSR is looking for entrepreneurial, self-driven client managers who excel in sales and are eager to build and manage client relationships in the consulting space. The ideal candidate should be adept at both inbound and outbound sales, with a preference for those who can help expand CSR’s outbound sales efforts. They must be comfortable operating autonomously while aligning with CSR’s mission, vision, and values.

You are a self-motivated, solutions-oriented professional with an entrepreneurial mindset who thrives on building relationships and closing deals. You take ownership of your work, operate with maturity and professionalism, and bring a level-headed, drama-free approach to challenges. You understand the value of clear communication, collaboration, and personal accountability, ensuring that every interaction—whether with clients or colleagues—is productive and positive. You are comfortable engaging business leaders, nonprofit executives, and government officials, helping them find solutions to their challenges. You are also adaptable, able to balance persistence with strategic patience in a consultative sales environment. You are comfortable with strategic planning and consulting concepts and can communicate the value of CSR’s services effectively.


What You’ll Do

  • Generate New Business

    • Identify and cultivate new leads through networking, referrals, and outbound sales efforts.

    • Convert inbound inquiries into long-term clients.

    • Build and maintain strong client relationships for repeat and referral business.

  • Sales & Consulting Engagement

    • Conduct discovery calls to assess client needs and propose CSR’s services.

    • Communicate CSR’s value proposition clearly and persuasively.

    • Lead prospecting efforts through outreach, industry connections, and marketing collaboration.

  • Networking & Brand Growth

    • Leverage existing industry relationships and develop new ones to expand CSR’s presence.

    • Represent CSR at conferences, networking events, and professional gatherings.

    • Identify partnership opportunities to increase business referrals.

What You Bring

  • Proven track record in sales (consulting, B2B services, or professional services preferred).

  • Strong ability to develop and close business opportunities.

  • Resilience and confidence—not discouraged by rejection.

  • Established network of industry contacts preferred.

  • Ability to work autonomously while aligning with CSR’s mission and sales strategies.

  • Familiarity with strategic planning and consulting concepts (or willingness to learn).

  • Comfortable in a commission-based role.
